Call for proposals � EACEA/19/12: �Youth in Action� programme: Sub-action 4.4: Projects encouraging innovation and quality

The purpose of this call is to support projects targeting the introduction, implementation and promotion of innovative and qualitative elements in non-formal education and youth work.

These innovative aspects may relate to:
— the content and objectives, in line with the development of the European cooperation framework in the youth field and the priorities of the ‘Youth in Action’ programme, and/or
— the methodology applied, bringing new ideas and approaches to the field of non-formal education and youth.

Priorities themes
Preference will be given to those projects which best reflect following priorities:
(i) permanent priorities of the ‘Youth in Action’ programme:
— participation of young people,
— cultural diversity,
— European citizenship,
— inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities;
(ii) annual priorities of the ‘Youth in Action’ programme:
— youth unemployment, poverty and marginalisation,
— spirit of initiative, creativity and entrepreneurship, employability,
— grassroots sport and outdoor activities,
— global environmental challenges and climate change.

Proposals must be submitted by non-profit organisations or networks active in the field of youth, which may be non-governmental youth organisations or public bodies at regional or local level.

Applicants must have been legally registered for at least two years in one of the programme countries: the 27 EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Croatia, Turkey.

Projects must be based on a transnational partnership between at least four promoters from different programme countries (including the applicant), of which at least one is an EU Member State.

Projects must start between 1 January 2013 and 30 April 2013, and last for 12-18 months.

The total budget allocated to the co-financing of projects under this call for proposals is estimated at €1.5 million. Funding will not exceed 70% of total eligible expenses and will be for a maximum of €100,000.

The deadline for applications is 3 September 2012.
