Call for proposals - EAC/10/10 - Lifelong Learning Programme � Support for two competitions on the promotion of language learning through short audiovisual productions

The objective of this Call is to award a grant for the organisation of two competitions for short audiovisual productions in 2011 and 2012. The competitions and the resulting audiovisual short productions are aimed at the promotion of language learning with a focus on the benefits of Europe's linguistic and cultural diversity. The participation of the selected audiovisual productions in the Prix Europa Festival will be the highlight in the dissemination and exploitation of the project results.

Organisations working in the audiovisual production, advertising and emerging media sectors, such as schools in the field of audiovisual arts and advertising, are invited to develop, manage and coordinate the competitions.

Applicants must be established in one of the following countries: the EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey (negotiations with Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Switzerland are on-going).

The maximum grant will be €500,000 covering both the competition in 2011 and in 2012. The EU contribution will not exceed 75% of the total eligible costs.

Activities must start between 1 January 2011 and 31 January 2011 and end before 31 January 2013. The maximum duration of projects is 24 months.
