Notice is hereby given of the launch of a call for applications for researcher grants under the work programme of the European Metrology Research Programme. Applications are invited for the following under Stage 3 of the EMRP Call 2009, Energy:
- Researcher Excellence Grants (REG), which aim to: open JRPs to the best science from the wider European researcher community; and increase the number of organisations with capacities closely relating to metrology. The REG funds an experienced researcher to undertake excellent research at the 'home' organisation, which is of relevance to the JRP.
- Researcher Mobility Grants (RMG), which aim to: increase the capability of the European metrology researcher community; increase the capacity of individual researchers in Metrology; and ensure the sustainability of the EMRP. The RMG supports researchers undertaking transnational guestworking on work related to the JRP.
Closing date is 7 May 2010.
In addition, the Early-Stage Researcher Mobility Grant (ESRMG) is open until 2017. The ESRMG support Early-Stage Researchers (in the first 4 years of their research career) to develop their metrology expertise and gain experience of collaborative projects. The grant consists of a fixed rate travel and subsistence allowance, which contributes to the expenses incurred when an early-stage Researcher undertakes guestworking at a JRP-Partner's premises located in a different country to the current employing organisation. Each ESRMG lasts for between 3 and 12 months duration (typically 6 months) and can only be used to support activities relating to the objectives of the JRP.
Further information about the calls is available on the EMRP website.
